Can you find a sadder place in Ottawa?

Once a popular place, Sparks Street seems to decline more and more. Renovations at the west end don’t help unfortunately. At a time of year that the crowds should be out, Sparks is empty. How do you turn that around? Maybe allow traffic bicycles through the centre of the street? Active Streets concept? Snapped this picture on December 21st, 2010 mid afternoon.

  2. 100% agree…put bikes down Sparks and maybe that will put the spark back into it!
